La Wanda Dyson White, Of Counsel to the firm, supports the Toxic Tort Practice Group. She has been national, regional, and local counsel for major automotive and truck manufacturers, specialist cable manufacturer and telecommunications companies in toxic tort cases.

Mrs. White assists with all aspects of the defense of asbestos litigation files in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York which includes: filing of initial pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, conducting depositions, preparing and responding to pretrial motions and memoranda, strategizing on legal positions, trial preparation and attendance at trial.

Mrs. White graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she was on the Dean’s List and was a Provost’s Scholar. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. White is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania state courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mrs. White was named as a Lawyer on the Fast Track in 2008 by The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly. Additionally, she regularly serves as an Arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas (2007-present).

Mrs. White has served on the firm’s Board of Directors and served as Chair of the Diversity Committee. The committee is responsible for creating, cultivating, and facilitating an environment of diversity awareness and inclusion throughout the firm.

Mrs. White has served as claims counsel for a Fortune 500 insurance company.  During that role, she handled cases involving claims which were intermediate to difficult with high financial exposure and complexity, including cases involving complex medical issues, catastrophic injuries or unusual accident facts.
