Michele N. Miller is a Shareholder in the Industrial and Consumer Product Liability, Toxic Torts and Mass Torts Practice Groups in the Philadelphia office of Lavin, Cedrone, Graver, Boyd & DiSipio. She focuses her practice on complex equipment litigation, such as passenger and freight elevators, escalators, and moving sidewalks. Ms. Miller also represents clients in defending asbestos exposure cases for manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and installers.

Ms. Miller has extensive experience representing clients in mediations, depositions, court mandated conferences, and hearings before state and federal court Judges. Ms. Miller continues to handle case management conferences, settlement conferences, and arbitrations on behalf of clients. She has also successfully defended arbitrations at both the state and federal Court level. Ms. Miller works with experts in preparation for trial, prepares pleadings, motions, and manages all aspects of discovery and trial preparation.

Ms. Miller currently serves as an arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and has decided cases involving an array of matters, such as personal injury, property damage, tax, contracts, and landlord-tenant disputes.

Ms. Miller has lectured on product liability and tort issues for CLEs. She also speaks at local programs designed to foster diversity and to enhance the career development of students. As a member of the firm’s diversity committee, Ms. Miller also aids in bringing diversity programs to the firm.

Ms. Miller graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in history from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC. Following graduation, Ms. Miller worked as a litigation associate for Wilbraham, Lawler & Buba for two years. While there, she litigated product liability, construction accidents, personal injury, workers’ compensation and asbestos related matters.

Ms. Miller is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Ms. Miller is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Executive Board of the Temple Inn of Court, NAASC Columbia, MD Chapter, and the National Bar Association.
